Tai Chi or Taijiquan, what’s the difference?
The correct name for the art that we do, is Taijiquan; meaning Supreme Ultimate Fist. In the west, it has become known as Tai Chi and is mostly done as an exercise routine rather that the martial art that it is based on. In China, Tai Chi, or Taiji is the name given to the Catalyst that started the universe as we now it today, But that’s another story.
Do I need to practice between Classes?
All the good things in life, never come easily, somethings like Taijiquan need to be practised regularly, so the short answer is “Yes, you do”, but life can get in the way and you may not be able to train every day, but remember Motivation will get you started, but discipline will keep you going.
